Based in Minneapolis, Jon Ness is a licensed real estate salesperson at Coldwell Banker Realty's Lakes Office in Minneapolis. A native to the Twin Cities, Jon's passion for real estate was spurred at a young age by his mentor and uncle, a prestigious builder of custom homes. Jon always loved visiting the job sites and, from the age of twelve, began working as a contractor's assistant, completing odd jobs and cleaning up work sites. His apprenticeship continued throughout college and fostered a firm foundation in the construction process from the ground up. Jon relies on his vast experience and knowledge to guide clients through the home selection process and confidently navigate a successful home inspection. This translates well into the listing side, as Jon is able to recommend updates and improvements to his sellers that will appeal to the largest number of buyers.

Jon graduated from the University of St. Thomas's Real Estate Program, where he gained an institutional insight and foundation of financial modeling, capital markets, finance, Real Estate law, and investment principles that he applies to his profession daily. His professional career began working in the land acquisition department for a production home builder, where he researched the competition, provided market analysis, and helped conduct focus groups for planned communities. Following that role, Jon spent the next eight years in corporate real estate, assisting companies to buy, sell, lease, and build office, industrial, and retail space across the country and internationally.

Since 2015, Jon has been at Coldwell Banker Realty, assisting both buyers and sellers in Minneapolis, St. Paul, Golden Valley, St. Louis Park, Edina, and across the broader Twin Cities metro. Jon creates meaningful relationships with each of his clients and builds unwavering trust; anyone working with him knows that they are working with someone they are not only comfortable with, but someone with the integrity and experience to help take them effortlessly through one of the most important decisions in their life. Currently a resident of Golden Valley, Jon lives with his husband, Brian, and their two dogs, Neil and Stanley. In his spare time, he loves to entertain, try new recipes, explore new restaurants, go to the theatre, take in the art at The Walker Art Center and m.i.a. and hunt for vintage treasures.
